Dear Friends,
China and India are emerging super powers in the world today. The rise of China and its influence, especially in the Asia is clearly visible. The manner in which Chinese adminitration (mis)handled the Tibetian movement has raised quite a few questions. Coupled with this, China now claims Arunachal Pradesh as its own part. Quite a few countries have not taken a visible stand against China's growing aggressions in the geo politics of the world today. Go. Pu. Deshpande is an expert on the issue amidst us and would meet with us at "Mulaqat" organised by Peace Mumbai on "China vis-a-vis Tibet and Asia" at the YUVA office on 9th June (Monday), 2008 at 11.00 am. Mr Deshpande is an expert on China and is a retired Professor from Centre for East Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. Mr Deshpande has also written widely on China. He would help us in understanding the complexities of the issue at hand and assist in formulating an opinion so that appropriate steps can be taken in Mumbai city in raising awareness and action amongst its citizens. It would be our pleasure if you and your colleagues will be able to attend the session. Please do circulate to further.
